How it started
Pleiko began with a grandfather's wish — to build furniture that helped his grandchildren experience more freedom and independence. He wanted pieces that let kids feel confident using them on their own, while keeping things simple for parents.
As a family, we carried that vision forward. What started as a personal project became a business built on the same principles: simplicity, independence, and thoughtful design. Every piece we make still starts from that same question — will this help a child do it on their own?

We use 3/4" maple plywood — thicker and more durable than what most brands offer. CARB Phase 2 & TSCA Title VI compliant.

Every piece ships sanded smooth and unfinished, so you can paint, stain, or seal it to match your home perfectly.
